Interstate Arms License Racket Busted by Rourkela Police.

Rourkela, “Ama Odisha Khabar” 29 December, Police has successfully busted a major interstate racket involved in procuring illegal Arms Licenses from Nagaland through forged documents. Following credible intelligence inputs, raids were conducted across Rourkela, leading to the arrest of the kingpin.Uditnagar PS Case No. 466, Dt. 29.12.2025.
The culprits were alluring individuals by promising All India Arms Licenses along with firearms for a sum of ₹5 to ₹10 Lakhs. The investigation reveals a network operating across Rourkela, Kolkata, and Nagaland. They used forged documents to obtain licenses which were then distributed to various persons in Rourkela.
Arrested Person: Ratan Kumar Shaw (58), resident of Basanti Colony, Rourkela (The Kingpin).
Articles Seized: One .32 NP Bore Pistol (Webley & Scott)
Two Revolvers (NP FG 25074 & .32 Mark K-III), 35 rounds of live ammunition, Forged Arms Licenses from Nagaland and ADM Rourkela, Mobile phone containing incriminating digital evidence.
Further investigation is underway.
