SRI PRAVAT KUMAR PRADHAN, ASI OF POLICE, CHANDANPUR PS, DIST-PURI NABBED BY ODISHA VIGILANCE WHILE TAKING BRIBE RS 15,000/- FROM A COMPLAINANT TO HELP HIM IN A LAND DISPUTE CASE.

Today i.e. on 18.06.2025, a short while, Sri Pravat Kumar Pradhan, ASI of Police in Chandanpur PS, Dist-Puri has been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance. while demanding and taking bribe amount of Rs. 15,000/- from a Complainant to help him and his brother in a land dispute case registered earlier in Chandanpur PS, of which ASI Pravat Kumar Pradhan is the Investigating Officer The complt reported the matter to Vigilance authorities, based on which the Vigilance team nabbed Sri Pradhan, ASI, today while taking bribe Rs 15,000/- from the complt.
The entire tainted bribe money of Rs. 15,000/- has been recovered from possession of accused Sri Pradhan, ASI and seized.
Following the trap, simultaneous searches are going on at two locations of Sri Pradhan, ASI.
In this connection, Bhubaneswar Vigilance PS Case No. 12/2025, U/s 7 of PC (Amendment) Act, 2018 has been registered against accused ASI Sri Pravat Kumar Pradhan of Chandanpur PS. Investigation is in progress against accused Sri Pradhan, ASI. Detailed report follows.
