Vigilance caught him while he was taking a bribe of Rs.15,000 from the Lampsis in-charge for harvesting paddy.

Keondjhar, Champua, “Ama Odisha Khabar” a short while ago, Sri Dhumaram Murmu, ACSO Champua, Keonjhar, has been nabbed by Odisha Vigilance while demanding and taking bribe of Rs.15000/- at his office, from a local LAMPCS incharge in connection with procurement of Paddy done recently during the current KMS. He was allegedly demanding bribes from other Paddy Procurement Centres, too. The entire bribe amount Rs 15,000 has been seized from his possession. Following the trap, simultaneous searches have been launched at his locations.
In this connection, Balasore Vigilance PS Case No 08/2026 U/s-7PC (Amendment) Act, 2018 has been registered. Investigation is in progress against accused Sri Murmu, ACSO, Champua.
