Sambalpur, Today, “(Ama odisa khabar)” On 22.09.2025, Sri Soumya Ranjan Kheti, Ex Principal of Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya, Binika, Dist- Subarnapur, has been arrested by Odisha Vigilance for embezzling Govt. money to the tune of Rs.55,02,610/- under MDM, Mo School Abhijan, and Girls’ Hostel Fund Contingencies during the financial year 2021-22 to 2024-25 by abusing his official power.
Sri Kheti was appointed as Principal of Binika Adarsh Vidyalaya w.e.f.29.09.2021. Inputs were received regarding misappropriation of govt funds by Sri Kheti during his tenure, which were enquired into. Following an enquiry, Odisha Vigilance has registered a case vide Sambalpur Vigilance P.S. Case No.19/2025, U/s 13 (2) r/w 13 (1) (a) P.C. (Amendment) Act, 2018/316/61(2) BNS against Sri Kheti. He has been arrested in the case and is being interrogated to ascertain the details of misappropriation and use of the govt funds.
