Forester of Bandhbahal, arrested by Odisha Vigilance for accepting Rs 5,000 bribe.

Brajarajagar “Ama Odisha Khabar” On 05.12.2025, a short while ago, Sri Gouranga Sahu, Forester of Bandhbahal Section under Brajrajnagar Range, Dist. Jharsuguda has been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance while demanding and taking bribe Rs.5,000/- from a person to grant permission in his favour and allow him for cutting and transportation of dry Eucalyptus Tree from his land. But, Forester Sri Sahu demanded bribe Rs 5,000/- from the person to pass order to cut/transport dry trees from his own land, prompted him to report the matter to Vigilance authorities. Upon receiving the information, a team of Odisha Vigilance nabbed Sri Sahu, Forester, today while taking bribe Rs.5,000/ from the land owner inside the office campus when accused Sri Sahu was about to flee from the spot on seeing the alert Vigilance team. The entire bribe money Rs.5,000/- has been recovered from the possession of accused Sri Sahu and seized.
